How we secure your information
We believe that security is an important aspect to consider when deciding to utilize any financial technology platform. We’ve built the Lumonel platform from the ground up with security in mind. Access to personal information is limited to authorized Lumonel employees and partners on a need-to-know basis. Some of the security policies and procedures that Lumonel and our third-party vendors have implemented include:

- Continuous internal and external monitoring of our website
- Recurring security training for Lumonel employee

Data Security
Data encryption technology scrambles sensitive information which theoretically makes accessing sensitive information by unauthorized individuals unfeasible. Customer information such as passwords, social security numbers, and other sensitive data is at a minimum 128-bit encrypted using hashing algorithms such as bcrypt and is never stored as clear text.
Account Security
Multifactor authentication is a layered security technology that requires users to provide multiple authentications to gain account access. Implementing multifactor authentication bolsters security by requiring bad actors to compromise multiple authentications to gain access to a user’s account. Implementing multifactor authentication is a key tool in your security toolbox. We require all Lumonel users and employees to enable multifactor authentication.
Infrastructure Security
Lumonel’s financial technology platform is hosted on Amazon’s AWS cloud infrastructure. AWS is the cloud computing services industry leader and holds multiple certifications and audits including SOC-2, SOC-1, ISO 27001, and FedRAMP. Lumonel leverages a wide range of security products and services provided by AWS such as Inspector and GuardDuty.
